Eternal Gathering - Doomhammer EU
Welcome to Eternal Gathering
Eternal Gathering is an old guild, which has been active on Doomhammer EU for over six years.
Pre-Cataclysm, we raided at a dedicated semi-hardcore level in 10, 25 and 40 man instances. During this time Eternal Gathering scored many competitive raid boss kills, including World 51st Ragnaros and World 30th Nefarian in Classic. In TBC we killed M'uru pre-patch 2.4.3 and Kil'jaeden pre-patch 3.0. In WotLK we claimed some World top 30 kills, killed Yogg with zero watchers World 80th, Algalon World 99th, and rounded off the expansion by killing the Lich King with the 20% buff and Halion heroic World 56th. Ulduar, one of the best raid instances ever, saw Eternal Gathering's strongest performance.
We are now a casual 10 man raiding guild, who raids simply because raiding is great fun, and even more so with a good, friendly core of raidmembers. We don't chase World or server rank, but prefer a more relaxed approach. As a consequence, despite Eternal Gathering's past competitive raiding history, our current approach to the game is very different. You can find out more about our past raiding history here:

Eternal Gathering recruiting status
- Healer, any class expect shaman
- Warlock
We raid 3 or 4 nights a week. Raids start at 2000 and always end at 2330 (sometimes we start a bit later than 2000). We do not expect you to make every raid and are tolerant of afks. We provide all consumables for raids.
Really important for any application is that you have a fair raiding history (ie, you must have some BWD/BoT/TotFW/FL Heroic bosses down, and the gear to match), and have a reasonable grasp of your class and role in raids. For us it's a balance of factors: We are very happy to accept players with less heroic bosses down who have potential, but we will not trial freshly dingged, or low experience noobs.
Eternal Gathering's current raiding progress stands as follows.
Dragon Soul 2/8 Heroic
Firelands 6/7 Heroic
Black Wing Decent 6/6 Heroic
Bastion of Twilight 5/5 Heroic
Throne of the Four Winds 2/2 Heroic
8th January, Yor-Sahj the Unsleeping down. We're on 2/8 Heroic.
14th December. Morchok down, more heroic kills to come.
23rd August. Bale down to give 6/7 heroic. Rag next, which we heard is harder.
15th August, Homo down. Baleroc next, as we slack our way to 6/7. As our raidmembers return from holidays, we've killed three new heroic bosses in the last eight days. (And, some day we'll get some screenshots up)
11th August, Alys down. One of the easiest HC bosses in Firelands, less than two and a half hours from first pull to a kill. No idea why we didn't kill this ages ago, but then we're casual.
8th August. Beth down in Firelands. Not much to say other than the kill was smooth, and the fight less than demanding, which stands in complete contrast to actually getting a balanced raid online.
18th July saw us kill Lord Rhyolith. Fun encounter, which we downed with 1 tank, 7 dps and 2 healers, which were a restoration shaman and discipline priest. The driving part was especially entertaining, with quite a few less than ideal paths taken. Wrathbringer did good, and guided things well.
6th July and Firelands heroics are open for us. So we tried Shannox. Fun right, which lead to a straightforward kill. We're 1/7 FL heroic.
5th of July saw us clear Firelands normal by defeating Rag. Easy fight. We then finished off Al'Akir on heroic, which was the last boss we missed to clear all tier 11; more than about time that we completed. Firelands heroic up for next reset.
27th of June, and Sinestra down. On this boss the biggest problem for us was having enough players online to make decent raids. Random afking was the order of the day, and that made for frustratingly slow progress, with cancelled raids, and sometimes just rubbish balance. The boss is fun and by no means hard.
5th of June today and Council dead. Fun fight. Phase 2 was our problem, with too many players trying to bounce the blue ball off their chins. But we got past phase 2 a few times and spread, and killed it, This means we're on 11/13 heroic, and ambling along to complete this tier sometime.
23rd of May we killed Nef on heroic, putting us on 10/13. The boss is not exactly the most taxing out there and we should have killed it ages ago. But when players come and go minus much warning, and balance sux, not much can be done. No screenie again, got to remember to take a pic.
18th of May we killed Cho'gall on heroic, which takes us to 9/13. Relatively easy heroic boss which we killed after a night and a bit, despite the usual afk-ing and dodgy balanced raids.
20th of March V&T heroic down, so we're 8/13 heroic, and I still forgot to take a screenie, someday perhaps.
16th of March we killed Magmaw on heroic setting. I'd add a screen shot if I remembered to take a picture but I forgot, and I don't think anyone else remembered either.
